BLAZE is a series of online hackathons designed to ignite innovation in the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) ecosystem! Hosted on DoraHacks, this event aims to attract new developers to Bitcoin Cash through a hands-on coding competition, give an opportunity for existing ecosystem players to show off their skills and empowering participants to build impactful prototypes. Whether you're a seasoned BCH developer or a curious coder from another community, join us to explore the scalable, low-fee Bitcoin Cash blockchain and create solutions that could shape the future of decentralized finance, payments, and beyond. Compete for a share of 25+ BCH in prizes, plus exclusive tickets to BLISS 2027 and other exciting perks! ## Previous Editions of BLAZE Check out the projects & livestreams from the previous BLAZE to get inspired! - [DoraHacks - BCH BLAZE 2025](https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/bchblaze2025/detail) ## Key Dates - Registration Opens: October 10th - Submission Period: November 14th – November 22nd - Judging Period: November 23rd – November 27th - Winner Announcement & Livestream: November 28th # Prizes A total prize pool of $8 000+ (25 BCH) will be distributed as follows: Mainnet Track: - 1st Place: $3 500 PUSD + BLISS 2027 tickets for whole team - 2nd Place: $1 500 PUSD + 1 BLISS 2027 ticket - 3rd PLACE: $750 PUSD + 1 BLISS 2027 ticket Media Track: - $1 000 PUSD to the best submission Other Prizes: - Community Choice Award: $750 PUSD (based on community voting) - TokenHunt Completion Pool: $250 PUSD airdropped to completed projects - Various bounties - See Bounties section - Special Perks: Select teams may receive mentorship opportunities or exposure to Bitcoin Cash ecosystem sponsors for potential funding or hiring. *Prizes will be distributed in PUSD, BLISS NFTs, BCH or other CashTokens as appropriate on the Bitcoin Cash mainnet. Winners must integrate their project with BCH and complete all specified requirements of their track to be considered eligible*. # Eligibility ## Mainnet Track - Open to developers worldwide, including individuals or teams of 2-4 members. - Welcoming both BitcoinCash veterans and newcomers from other communities. - Participants must register on the DoraHacks platform and submit a valid project by the deadline. - Projects must include at least one feature that involves sending Bitcoin Cash (BCH) mainnet transactions. - Projects must have a live, usable demo that judges can simply click a website link to open & experiment with. - Projects must be original or significantly improved during the hackathon (no minor tweaks to existing work). - Prexisting work is ok, but must be clearly specified in the banner as explained below. - Projects must have a top-of-page banner on the home page with: - A link to their short presentation introducing their project based on the [BCH Blaze "Widget Factory" template](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Yfuk9CJkf4U9M_WukcELhumWgj3Ak6345Ewy8hSp-Hk/edit?usp=sharing) LINK TO TEMPLATE: [https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Yfuk9CJkf4U9M_WukcELhumWgj3Ak6345Ewy8hSp-Hk/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Yfuk9CJkf4U9M_WukcELhumWgj3Ak6345Ewy8hSp-Hk/edit?usp=sharing) - A link to the project's Github/lab repository with source code - A CashTokens address for donations of EMBER2026 tokens (for community choice voting). - Pre-existing projects MUST have a link to both their old & new repo plus a link to a demo of the project BEFORE the hackathon begun (so judges can see what was already created vs what is new or improved). - Projects must have a WizardConnect integration or XO Template integration (or both!) for ease of BCH wallet connection. - At least one project representative must have attended at least one of the BLAZE preparation streams (Information stream or Workshop 1/2/3). Roll call will be taken!! This means one team member must be present for at least one stream (not all team members needed, and do not need to check in on every stream, 1 of the 4 streams, is enough). The link to join the call will be available in the Streams section at the top of the DoraHacks page and in the Telegram group. No sign up is required for Vdo.ninja (our stream software), you do not need to have your camera or microphone on. Inside the stream call, you will be able to type in the chat and confirm your presence for roll call. - Projects must have confirmed they are real in the BCH BLAZE Telegram channel. ## Media Track NOTE: Builders are welcome to make a submission in both the Mainnet & Media track. They are not mutually exclusive! Participate in both if you like!
