Story HighlightsCoinbase partners with Samsung to bring USDC directly into Samsung Wallet for millions of Galaxy users.
More than 82 million U.S. Galaxy users will gain access to USDC through Samsung Wallet.
The Coinbase and Samsung partnership will launch USDC support during the last week of October.
Coinbase and tech giant Samsung have officially partnered to bring USD Coin (USDC) directly to Samsung Wallet. The move will give more than 82 million Galaxy users in the U.S. access to USDC.
The rollout will begin in the last week of October 2026, making USDC the first stablecoin natively supported in the wallet.
USDC Comes Directly to Samsung Wallet
On 8 October 2026, Coinbase announced the new partnership as the next step in its growing relationship with Samsung.
The companies previously added Samsung Pay as a payment option on Coinbase. They later expanded their partnership by offering Coinbase One benefits to more than 82 million Galaxy users in the U.S. through Samsung Wallet.
Now, Coinbase will power the stablecoin experience inside Samsung Wallet, with USDC becoming the default dollar stablecoin when users add money to their stablecoin balance.
With this integration, Coinbase aims to reach more than 82 million Galaxy users in the U.S.
Coinbase Will Handle USDC Custody
The partnership also brings Coinbase’s custody system into the wallet. Coinbase will hold the USDC stored in Samsung Wallet through Coinbase Prime, using its NYDFS-qualified custody services.
The custody system also works with Bastion, a licensed stablecoin custodian and infrastructure provider regulated by U.S. financial authorities.
USDC is designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the U.S. dollar and is backed by cash and short-term U.S. Treasuries.
Coinbase said USDC circulation grew 72% in 2025 to more than $75 billion, while wallets holding USDC rose 59% to nearly 7 million.
Samsung Wallet Adds USDC Payments
The integration will turn Samsung Wallet into a USDC payment tool. Users can send USDC to contacts directly from their phones without entering long wallet addresses.
For in-store payments, the companies say users can tap to pay with USDC. Coinbase will convert the USDC into the merchant’s local currency during the payment.
For now, the rollout begins in the U.S. during the last week of October 2026.
