XRP price could see increased volatility as Ripple Swell 2026 begins in New York. Investors are watching for announcements that could increase demand for XRP, while Evernorth has hinted at a special development planned for the event.
On October 20, Evernorth posted on X that something special was planned for Swell 2026. The company has not shared further details, and it remains unclear whether the announcement will involve buying more XRP, launching a product, or forming a partnership.
Ripple Swell 2026 Puts XRP Utility in Focus
Ripple Swell runs from October 27 to 29, with its main-stage sessions taking place on October 28 and 29.
Ripple’s product presentation on October 28 includes a session topic on XRP utility. Investors will be watching for details of products or services that could require businesses to buy and hold XRP.
On October 29, the agenda includes a session on DeFi for XRP, followed by a panel featuring representatives from three spot XRP funds. These discussions could provide more information about institutional interest in XRP.
However, Ripple has not confirmed any major product announcement ahead of the event.
XRP Demand Will Depend on the Announcement
Not every Ripple announcement creates direct demand for XRP. Some products use XRP to process payments, while others rely on Ripple’s technology without requiring customers to hold the token.
Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) service uses XRP to transfer value between currencies. However, XRP may be bought and sold within a single transaction, meaning the service does not necessarily create long-term holdings.
If a company or fund buys XRP and keeps it, demand for the token could increase. But a new partnership or payment service may not increase demand if it does not require buying more XRP.
Investors will watch Ripple and Evernorth for announcements that could bring new buyers to XRP.
XRP Price Prediction for Swell Week
XRP price is currently trading around $1.31 when the original analysis was recorded. Analyst cheeky crypto outlined three possible price scenarios for the event week.
ScenarioXRP priceValue of 1,000 XRP
Bullish$1.43$1,430
Moderate decline$1.26$1,260
Bearish$1.07$1,070
In the bullish scenario, XRP could rise if Ripple or Evernorth announces a development that creates demand for the token. The moderate scenario assumes that announcements support Ripple’s business but do not generate significant new XRP demand.
The bearish scenario assumes disappointing event news and weakness across the wider crypto market. These are hypothetical outcomes, not confirmed price targets.
