Story HighlightsZEC faces resistance at $1,430, while $1,227 remains a key support level that could determine whether its recovery continues or momentum weakens.
The proposed NU7 upgrade targets faster block times and changes to transaction fees, but its impact on ZEC price remains uncertain.
Zcash is gaining momentum and is trading around $1,275, with a subsequent increase in buying activity. The recent recovery has brought renewed attention to the privacy-based cryptos, with traders now assessing whether the upward momentum can continue further. Meanwhile, the proposed NU7 network upgrade has emerged as a major development against short-term price movements. For now, the levels around $1,227 support are extremely important for the ZEC price rally, as a break above the range could open doors for new highs.
Zcash NU7 Upgrade: What Traders Need to Know
The proposed Zcash NU7 upgrade is emerging as a key development for the ZEC price outlook. This upgrade aims to make two major changes: reducing block times from 75 seconds to 25 seconds and removing 60% of transaction fees from circulation. The latest rounds around the NU7 upgrade indicate that the developers agreed on a proposal for a mainnet activation height of 3,543,405, scheduled around November 05.
The activation height still needs to be incorporated into the deployment specification and node software. The shorter block interval is designed to reduce transaction confirmation delays, while the fee mechanism would reserve 60% of fees for future reissuance through the Network Sustainability Mechanism, and the remaining 40% would go to miners. The proposal is designed to preserve Zcash’s existing halving schedule and 21 million ZEC supply cap, which is pivotal for the price rally.
ZEC Price Rebounds From a Crucial Support – Can It Reach $1500?
The ZEC price is displaying strength after rebounding from the support zone around $1,050 and reclaiming above $1,200. With this, traders are watching whether the latest recovery can extend toward the $1,500 level. The proposed NU7 upgrade provides a potential catalyst, but the next move will depend on buying pressure and whether ZEC can hold above nearby support levels. Currently, the ZEC price is trading above the 0.5 FIB level, which could help sustain the recovery if buyers defend this zone.
The RSI is rising, which suggests the buying momentum is increasing along with open interest, which has also rebounded. This indicates a significant rise in derivative activity, as traders seem to be positioned for further gains or a decline. The next important level is the 0.618 FIB at $1,430, the key resistance, and a sustained break above this level could strengthen the bullish outlook. While a rejection may bring ZEC back toward $1,227, if the rally fails to hold at these levels, the rally may be exposed to the next target close to $1,000.
